  April 15th WT/ Generation - MORE Points/ Mind Control by WT Society

  we all chewed on this article pretty well when the news first came out about the " overlapping anointed " concept , however we discussed so much on just those 2 paragraphs dealing with the new " generation " theory - that almost the rest of the article was overlooked .

  our lurking inactive jw friend on the board sent us a copy of the april 15th.

  When I was indoctrinated 20 years ago, I believed Jehovah was the Absolute Power ant the Allmighty...

  Now I feel sorry for that guy... He doesnt even has a fix plan....

  i've tried to generally let go of my jw childhood - ultimately they are a sad people, governed by sad old men, following the poor advice of long-dead and even sadder men, congragating in sad pithy buildings.

  tonight however, i've been reminded of something.. growing up as a jw, i ended up seeing several movies in theaters with other witnesses - sometimes just with my friends, but often enough in larger groups that included the more... indoctrinated... variety.

  it seemed to me, that whenever the group included more than my immediate friends, there was almost always that one person that managed to find something offensive about every movie.

  We were watching the other day a biblical movie based on exodus of israelites from Egypt with other witnesses, and Mr. Right (Yes they are everywhere...) was very disapointed, becouse the quotations of Moses were not exactly from the Bible, they were slightly different.... And also the israelites were sitting during their last home meal befor exodus, while according to the Bible the were standing. Yes he was very disapointed ...

  Kingdom Halls, Assemblies, District Conventions - NO POWER POINT

  i'm a good public speaker - when i have my power point.

  this is because i am a very visual person.

  when i had my notes everything seemed to get blurry.. it bothers me that there is this unwritten law that you are not allowed to give visual presentations in the kingdom hall... even assemblies equipped with multiple projectors (to view baptism) do not use power point or any type of visual stimulus.. hell even when they have 10,000 plus people they are still working a full day with just a man on stage talking.

  I live in Czech republic and here we had (2 years ago) one inventive brother, who prepared a talk with the use of a projector and he was showing all kinds of images during his talk to make it more interesting...

  He was very popular here and he was invited to give this talk to many congregations...

  And then - guess what! You wouldnt believe that! Bethel sent a letter to all congrgations in the country, that it is not aproved by the society to use projectors during talk, and it could happen, that such equipment might draw more attention during the talk than Jehovah himself... No kidding!

  Well, Jehovah is a jealous god.....

  As Dave Barry put it the other day: "It did make sense and people did like it, so government had to ban it..."

  Well, I told my mom today that I haven't been to a meeting in 5 months plus I need some advise for next Saturday

  me and my mom made plans to see each other today so this morning she called me and said she was already in my area and wanted to know where to meet up.

  i told her that i wasn't ready yet so to come to my apartment first.

  i said that me and my husband are still in our pjs and she gasped and ask, "you didn't go to the meeting today?

  Animals before flood - vegetarians? Ever published in WT pablications?

  i heard countlessly from zealous jw, that before flood all animals were vegetarians, not killing and eating each other ... as it will be in paradise again.. but was this ever published in a wtbs publications?.
